Au Chien Qui Fume, Paris 1950sThis charming 1950s advertising card comes from the Parisian restaurant Au Chien Qui Fume, which was opened in 1740 as a small inn catering to the market porters of Les Halles in the center of Paris. In 1920 a new owner arrived and brought his dogs to the restaurant a cigar smoking poodle and a pipe smoking terrier. Hence the restaurants name and dcor there are many pictures and paintings of smoking dogs. The card advertises dine and dance evenings
