Kōuma Kahurangi - Greenstone Breastplate PendantKuma are breastplates or shield adornments that represent strength and leadership. Evolving from body armour, they are a taonga of personal protection that share their beauty with te ao troa (the outer world). This kuma was carved by Chris Taylor from kahurangi pounamu sourced from Te Wai Pounamu, Aotearoa. With a semi gloss finish, the pendant measures 95mm by 48mm and has a hand plaited adjustable polyester cord.
