A fine Rockingham shell and gadroon moulded, shell shaped dessert dish, circa 1826. The piece is superbly painted by Thomas steel with a floral and fruit composition, within burgundy ground border. Elaborate stylised acanthus leaf gilding surrounding the central cartouche. Red Griffin mark printed to the reverse. For further information, see Cox Rockingham 17451852 page 221, fig 188 for a
