Gembrook Hill Estate Chardonnay 2025Chardonnay from the property either goes into the sparkling base or ends up here as a still Chardonnay. 10 dozen made, 1 hogshead and 1 puncheon, none new. Made simply, pressed straight to barrel with a portion of solids and left alone to do its thing. Crystalline purity, tense and nervy, a thread of green inflection with orchard fruits showing face yet still shy, the tension is superb. Cool climate Chardonnay that will blossom over a long drinking

though I reckon it will deliver with a couple of years in bottle

the 2017 The Florita Rieslingis tight

fever beetle and other plants to develop biodiversity soils and subsoil life

where the soil is incredibly rocky and the mesoclimate is the coolest

Tons of aging potential

10% Pinot Meunier & 35% Chardonnay

and a certain smoky meatiness too

but this is still a wine that's built for the long haul
