Painted by Benedictine Religious in 1912, it is done in the Beuron style which they had invented fifty years earlier. It is a style that emphasizes the calm ideals of Heaven, using geometry and formal qualities to help the viewer with their worship. The Abbey is the actual one founded by St. Hildegard of Bingen in 1165! The nuns today work
